Less than 1% of homes are owed buttons investors. This βaffordable housingβ bill is insignificant.
Iβm so tired of news outlets calling this an affordable housing bill. The data would say otherwise. It does not help middle and working class families achieve homeownership.
Iβm aware of no evidence that this bill would make housing more affordable. The available evidence indicates the opposite!
Layers of disappointment here. Why the infighting? Why the focus on single family homes? Why the ineffective bill? www.texastribune.org/2026/03/06/d...
One of the 2025 biggest housing learnings for me - institutional investors reduced segregation through SFH rentals www.npr.org/sections/pla...
A friend is watching last nights council meeting and sent me this. Not even sure how to answer. Itβs so patently obvious to the average person. How are we supposed to meet our housing goals if every development is cut in half?
The number of times Iβve seen MNPD cars parked or driving on the sidewalk or in a bike lane in Nashville is astoundingβ¦almost seems like it might not be against policy?
But also, come on, how hard is it to park your car somewhere that doesnβt endanger others?
Thank you for voting yes @seanforfive.com

20 votes in favor and 15 votes against a resolution opposing the Boring Co
Listening to my βLFGβ playlist on the bus home rn
Kupin is a conservative. He has one of the most pro police voting records & votes against things like a resolution against the tunnel but people continue to defend him. Iβm embarrassed heβs the downtown councilmember. Tired of these activists defending him or roasting other Dems instead of him.
Time for CHYM ACT yβall
Personally I am not offended that our mayor doesnβt see it as his role to involve himself in the minutiae of property assessment just because a lot of people like a business / its owners.
If you like the business, patronize it so they can pay their fair share of property taxes.
Mamdani is adding BIDs.
That Bad Bunny speech really got me. Amen.

Shoutout to all the people feeding people this week. WCK, remixway, TIRRC, TEA, SUN, NCVC.
I missed a ton of people. Thank you all.
I watch meetings online and look at votes so thatβs what I judge Councilmembers off of. I donβt have time due to my job/hours to go mingle with metro very much. But perhaps itβs better that way. Iβm able to judge actions and not be swayed by emotion.
When Trump testified in deposition on his NY fraud case, he estimated his net worth at $3.2B, which was wildly inflated. That was after a lifetime in business. Trump has now made $4.05B just in the past year - most of it from foreign entities. archive.ph/2026.01.31-1...

This helps paint a clearer picture. Thank you. I wish people would judge him by his actions not his words.
Next week talk about Councilmember Jacob Kupin on a cruise in one of the worst winter storms in Nashville history. Tell Hollin thatβs also a leadership failure.
FREE LUNCH TODAY MCFERRIN PARK AREA
RTN and World Central Kitchen are partnering to give away 250-300 meals today at 12pm at Sylvan Street Baptist Church at 326 Arrington St. Wanted to give you a heads up in case you knew of some folks that could use a hot lunch.
Thank you for not going on a cruise ship out of the country and then demanding accountability.
@angusmcdeath.bsky.social @neilkornutick.bsky.social @mollymcdeath.bsky.social can you shed any light
Jacob Kupin is on cruise ship in the middle of the worst winter storm in 30 years. He is one of the most conservative members of the council. He votes the same as Jennifer Webb and Jeff Eslick on every police / surveillance bill. However, many progressive activists sing his praises. Why?
We should build a big fiber network and bury a bunch of power lines.
Having all power flown and multiple contractors chopping up streets for fiber is not sustainable.
