Ok, after agonizing more than I should have about this for months (there can be more seasons, I can feature everyone I really want to!), I have officially started my research on Lucrezia Borgia for Season 2 of the Bad Girls of History podcast. There will also be episodes on her father's mistresses!

I'm leaning towards switching from Lucrezia Borgia for season 2 of the podcast to Elizabeth Woodville, Henry VIII's grandmother and a rumoured witch. I think she might be more interesting and I'm a little more drawn to her story, though she maybe wasn't quite as maligned as Lucrezia.

The article doesn't mention why, though (how do you not ask?) The reason is because nobody is supposed to imagine the death of the king – it's treason! Maybe they're too embarrassed to give the reason?

Cringing at so many people thinking Wolf Hall is an accurate portrayal of Anne Boleyn. I read the first 2 books, and NO it isn't! Enjoy what you want – hey, I love The Tudors – but you might like the real story too! Season 1 of Bad Girls is a deep dive on it! Spoiler, Cromwell is NOT the good guy.

The problem with this article is that the media hasn't been very empathetic here. This isn't a case of "white man kills family" and the photo is him jet skiing. The media has actually been trying pretty hard to shame everyone who is being empathetic to him.
The empathy is coming from social media.

Update on the season finale: I'm now on antibiotics for a sinus and double ear infection, which I started Sunday! Recording will have to wait until I don't sound like shit, which will hopefully be soon. My left eardrum perforated, but otherwise starting to feel better, so fingers crossed it's soon!
