As promised, Anthropic is taking the Pentagon to court. from @peard33.bsky.social
Definitely didn't expect @jasooooon.bsky.social's Feeld being overrun by vanillas story to start with an ICE officer on the app: www.wired.com/story/feeld-...
Conversations w Jack Dorsey are always illuminating. Here he argues how massive Block layoffs signal how companies must drastically transform in the AI age. He also comments on Twitter, Bluesky, politics and journalism. And WIRED! .https://www.wired.com/story/jack-dorsey-explains-block-layoffs/
well well well if it isn't the consequences of someone's own actions (w @dell.bsky.social )
Once a simple proofreading tool, Grammarly is now bristling with AI features and a suite of "expert" agents based on the works of real authors. But the company doesn't ask permission and in some cases offers feedback from virtual versions of dead writersโincluding one historian who died in January.
Grammarly's new AI tools necromance famous dead authors, and "humanize" copy to make it sound less robotic. But it also failed to detect obvious plagiarism when @milesklee.bsky.social tried it: www.wired.com/story/gramma...
yep and fully being like I love Trump. Thatโs what promoted me to write it cause Iโve been thinking about this for like 3 seasons.
No Denver was also bad
i have seen every single episode of this slightly cursed show and this is a very good blog from @manishakrishnan.bsky.social:
Paramount Skydanceโs sprawling media empire will get a major boost if the deal gets approved. www.wired.com/story/everyt...

EXCLUSIVE: Jeffrey Epstein's close friendship with Woody Allen is well-documented. What's less well-known? Epstein spent years trying to influence Woody Allen's casting process, and got his "girls" cast in at least 2 of Allen's movies. My story for @nymag.com www.thecut.com/article/wood...
I honestly could have written a separate blog about all the race dynamics playing out. So much internalized racism.
If you've been watching Love Is Blind for years and feeling like it's become more and more blatantly MAGA-codedโwith increasingly misogynist men, you're not alone. Had to blog it out. www.wired.com/story/love-i...
I'm so proud of the entire @wired.com team for four ASME nominations, including General Excellence. The most nominations for WIRED in at least a decade! Everyone here earned all of this and more, so today we brag!
Journalism job alert: @wired.com is hiring an experienced politics writer. I might be biased, but WIRED is doing some of the best political coverage out there. This is your chance to join our amazing newsroom! condenast.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/CondeC...
SCOOP: A White House staffer appears to be operating the anonymous pro-Trump X account JohnnyMAGA with nearly 300,000 followers.

Incel slang is now so ingrained in the mainstream discourse that its origins have been obscured. How did we get here?
this week alone, I got several pitches about "proteinmaxxing." Read @milesklee.bsky.social on the widespread adoption of incel speak: www.wired.com/story/everyo...
Yeah Iโve heard good things
have you not read any of the well-documented cases of racism towards him, his brother, others? You're pleading ignorance on the basis of you not being able to read someone's mind, when a lot of this is out there publicly. www.espn.com/nhl/story/_/...
the story is not about hockey representation in media. It's about the spillover effects of HR fandom into hockey and why newcomers should be cautious because hockey culture has well-documented issues with misogyny, homophobia, racism etc.
that was the entire point of the story. Heated Rivalry's cultural impact dwarfs that of Shoresy, and it brought a ton of interest in the sport from outsiders including a lot of women and people who support LGBT rights. I was contrasting that with the culture inside the actual sport.
(Specifically elite men's hockey)
A lot of people are sharing that clip of the US men's hockey team laughing about the women's team with Trump/Kash Patel. A couple weeks ago, I wrote about how, despite the Heated Rivalry effect, hockey culture still sucks: www.wired.com/story/winter...
Last summer, OpenAI employees debated alerting law enforcement about Jesse Van Rootselaar's interactions with ChatGPT
In February, Van Rootselaar became the suspect in the mass shooting that devastated a rural town in British Columbia
