"bad at gaming" presumes that it's bad at ALL gaming. "Lack of gaming capability" presumes that it has some gaming capabilities. There's no way you actually missed this.

Also, how weird to presume that I owe you my thoughts on this topic but only if it's worded a specific way to make you happy.

Again, I never said that I "don't like Linux". I've said multiple times before that I use it. It seems like you're just putting words in my mouth to create an argument that doesn't exist.

If Linux was not good for gaming, my Steam deck wouldn't work but it does. Unfortunately, it cannot play every game that I play. So, I only use it for a select few games.

I didn't say "Linux is not good for gaming". I said "lack of gaming capability", which was even remarked by YOU when you mentioned anti-cheat. So, given that it CAN'T play every game, then it is a good excuse. I use Windows for gaming and WSL for work. Me existing this way is fine.

I used Linux for 10 years. I ran a dual boot so that I could have the best of both worlds. But, with the addition of WSL, that's not necessary for me anymore. I just use Linux for my work.

Why are you getting weirdly offended that I prefer another OS? Surely there are other things to be concerned about. Also, it just so happens that the games I play use anti cheat. For me, Windows is perfect. I can play my games and run my code on WSL. Being upset over that is weird

How do you look at an aggressive state that ignores any rules, who's ideology is based on resentment, supremacy and complete disregard of human life, and think "yeah, they'll treat me nice if I side with them".

I spent my 20's being "hacker man". I'm 39 now and just want it to be good enough to do my job and play games. Digging around in the filth of Linux these days is for someone with time for it. `sudo just-work-please`

Proton doesn't do every game and it's not the most efficient. It also wasn't a thing when I used to use Linux. I'll stick with Windows for now. Given the advances of the Apple M chips, I want to see what it can do when more games are working.

For me, it was the bad UI and a lack of gaming capability. Now, Windows has WSL so I can do my work and game from the same OS. I know Linux can do some gaming but it's still bad.
