Grand to attend the Capital City Partnership board meeting at Leith Links today.
Despite challenges, they've helped 580+ Edinburgh & South East Scotland residents find good-paying work, guided 313 into further education, & pushed the Living Wage between Apr-Dec 2025.

Last month, I met Council officers, @leithcentralcc.bsky.social, & NT Broughton CC to assess issues & results of pavement parking along Leith Walk.
While work's underway for poss. new loading provision & physical protection, a team will run the length of Leith Walk from 23/3 to fix loose paving.

Great time at #SLDConf at Dynamic Earth this w/e & got to meet a wide range of orgs to discuss the future of Leith community policing, the push to re-open the Powderhall path, Bonnington's ME & #LongCovid centre, the importance of trees in high density urban environments, & the UK rejoining the EU.

Thanks - Iโm meeting project lead on 29th Jan & also onsite with parking officers on 17th Feb as weโre all keen to get this finished off & more pedestrian/cycling friendly before end of March 2026.
Colleagues & I fought for (& introduced) controls on Short Term Lets in Leith & Edinburgh to improve safety.
