A week ago: Celebrating Tiny's one year "no hospital stay-versary" with her special cake, and rejoicing ensued.

Today: She's back in the hospital with Flu B, which isn't normally a problem for most. Tiny, however, doesn't handle these viral illnesses well.

It never gets easier. Never.

In one week exactly, it will have been 365 days since Smalls was admitted for a hospital stay. She's 12.5 years old, ama has never gone longer than 7 months without an admission. This has been her own personal goal, and she's so excited to reach it. She wants to celebrate, so how should we

Starting Tiny's birthday weekend with a trip to the ER. Love this for her. 😑

Bedtime used to be a nightmare here: tears and tantrums nightly. A few months ago, Tiny told me something I'll never forget. She said, "I need your snuggles before bed because you help my body and brain relax."

What an honor it is to be her comfort and peace. There are no more tears at bedtime.

Very slow introductions over a long period of time. It is possible, but it's not an easy process.

RIP to Chimothy the chipmunk. May he rest in endless beds of nuts.

She's currently flooding our Amazon cart with baby nursery items. Apparently, she's opening a daycare side hustle.

Tiny's 12th birthday is in three days. I have feelings about this, and they're all sorts of conflicting. This baby loving, science experiment performing, craft creating, chicken mama is going to do such great things in this world.

He did it, y'all! The boy has officially graduated from high school. We are so proud of him and can't wait to see where his journey leads next.

He fell in love with it doing the technical high school working program through the school district. He's at on it, and we're thrilled for him.

Tomorrow is the day we will watch our boy walk across the stage to receive his high school diploma. School has always been a struggle for him, so this day is extra special for our family. We're so proud of him and look forward to his career as a welder and the life he will build for himself.

Y'all are so kind. It would certainly not be expected, but we know the boy would appreciate some love and encouragement. High school was rough for him, but he persevered and deserves to be celebrated.

Irony is a bitch. I spent the last 3 days in DC advocating to protect Medicaid. Today, I'm sitting with my daughter in the hospital. She's receiving multiple iv meds to treat her lupus. Medicaid helps her get what she needs to be healthy, but the asshats in DC think she's a drain on society.
