or if theres actually a social hierarchy at play that assigns these types of labels- so honestly? it just comes down to how you'd prefer to worldbuild.

Personally , I think lord is rather gender neutral all things considered - but you could also just use lord and lady interchangably for ambiguity!

liege, noble, soverign, regent- there are some more recent coined terms as well being Lairde or Layde - Domine is a personal favorite , its a latin term for a more master-like position . In terms of just generally neutral places of power however it really depends on if their just being pretentious

hey tariffs and inflation are literally killing my dad right now
hes paid over 30 an hour . he works full time at least 60 hour work weeks . he has three in house family members . we are incredibly lucky to have cheap rent and a good house over our heads

we still dont have enough to buy groceries.
