The very first parable we learned in catechism was the Parable of the Good Samaritan.

My older brother loved it when he was a teen. He even went so far as to make a huge clay map of the land. I read it many years later and found Covenant to be thoroughly unlikeable. I couldn't read anymore after the first book. Maybe I'm jaded enough in my 50's to give it another try?
