Phew! Thank you!

Wait. Evri has gone into liquidation?

The same Evri that merrily took three parcels off me and charged me for the privilege today?

Three parcels that will probably never be seen again?

Fuckin’ell.

We went for a burger in the end. Haven't actually had a dirty burger in ages. Was nice.

Ah, I love seeing the monthly price of something I use increase so that company can piss more money into useless AI options.

:/

Hard to believe it’s 35 years since the deregulation of the TV listings

Going into town to drop off parcels at the post office and have some lunch with my lovely wife.

No idea what to eat.

Any suggestions? :)

Bought a secondhand Hairy Bikers book a while ago, just picked it up for the first time to look for a stew recipe and found this inside.

Don’t think the author liked Lady Victoria Hervey very much either!

Well, as a Villa fan, I’m not going to comment on chaotic and moribund transfer policies.

Ah, the Connor Gallagher derby.

Apart from Chelsea v Palace, of course.

Didn’t make it as far south as Warwickshire.

I’ve heard of them but, not because I was able to read any of them.

Roland CR8000 drum machine.

Roland CR8000 drum machine.

Gave this cosmetically-challenged classic a run-out today for a potential buyer.

Built in 1981 and, despite having lost its buttons and having a couple of slightly crackly pots, running like clockwork.

Amazing stuff!

Ube’s sweet, like vanilla. It’s nice.

I like matcha in moderation. The matcha Lindor are lovely!

Plans for today:

- taking the school hamster back*
- printing labels and boxing up gear
- testing an old drum machine for a potential buyer
- maybe a bit of Lego building

*In an old push chair, because of my shoulder injury. I’ll look like a right nutter! :)

Pretty sure the Kool-Aid man stayed in this hotel room once

Reminds me that a while back I was thinking of planning a meet-up for media composers and musos in and around Oxford.

Perhaps I should try again?

Sold my beautiful orange beast, the Waldorf Microwave XTk, this week.

Nice bloke who bought it. Enjoyed chatting about lusting after gear in copies of Sound On Sound and Future Music back in the late 90s/early 00s.

You forget how solitary working in music can be sometimes. Good to nerd out!

Oh yeah, Frankie for sure.

I always enjoyed Vince turning up with a guitar for an entirely synth-driven pop track. :P

There’s a thread in its own right: Who knew how to turn up on Top of the Pops?

I’d start with The KLF and Wham.

07.03.2026 11:33 πŸ‘ 6 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 3 πŸ“Œ 3

Ah yeah, that really annoyed me.

The KLF knew how to do Top of the Pops.
