And a squadron as opposed to a company because it was part of a Cavalry Division. I believe there were a total of five RE “squadrons” by the end of the war and all were attached to Cavalry. 1st Fd Sqn RE Still exists today. I popped in to pay respects to this chap two years ago on my wandering

George Klein was DJ ing on Beale Street and had a hard looking member of the “Memphis Mafia” who showed me his TCB Ring! Spent some time with a chap called Bill E Burk at his house in Memphis who had been on the local paper. Happy memories esp Gridleys Restaurant Ribs! Thank you for keeping

Wow! 90! I visited Memphis in ‘86 and The Sun Studio was still q basic with a leaky roof and stained sound proof tiles! Graceland still had the little row of shops over the road from the music gate. Was q surreal as it could have been on the Bristol Rd in Gloucester! Met Kang Ree and George Klein
