Barbie driving down the road singing, text reads "downloading data for reuse. bottom panel: barbie and Ken screaming with text reading "there's no README"
It's important for the public to be able to reuse #RescuedData, but the context a README or similar documentation provides is necessary for understanding.
Be like Barbie. Help yourself have a great day every day, and on this #MemeMonday, remember to document your data.

Image of four newspapers on a table. One is the New York Daily News from today with a new font and three are the Daily News from last week with the old font.
informal, small-n newsroom poll finds that old font was preferred but also had a tacky tabloid feel while new font seems more business-y. @nydnunion.bsky.social

My linocut portrait of Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska shows her as in slacks and sleeveless button down with collar turned in a 3/4 view with her right arm extended and left arm bent and resting on the small of her back. She has short hair and appears brightly lit from the left side. In front of her are the Fighting Dinosaurs fossils: a protoceratops and velociraptor entwined. Above her hand is a Cretaceous rodent Catopsbaatar and behind her is a Deinocheirus dinosaur. She is in the field in Mongolia with mountains in the distance. The print is made in a gradient of sandy golden green through dark green-brown through a dark rust from the bottom to the top.
Day 15 #artAdventCalendar is my #linocut 🐡🧪👩🏼🔬⚒️ #histsci of Zofia Kielan-Jaworowska (1925-2015) a Polish #paleobiologist, famous for a series of Polish-Mongolian expeditions she lead from 1963-1971 to the Gobi desert, where she discovered dinosaurs including the Deinocheirus, where she & team found 🧵

State Research Bureau (organisation) - Wikipedia
The State Research Bureau (SRB), initially the State Research Centre (SRC), was a Ugandan intelligence agency. Active from 1971 until 1979, it served as a secret police organisation for President Idi…
The Research Center also, unfortunately, shares a name with a secretive oppressive police force. Fortunately the Ugandan State Research Centre is no longer active. Maybe someday the Institute for Collaborative Studies can reclaim their name.
