Ugg. Never a huge fan of Bambi, but knowing the contributions and amazing art of Tyrus Wong and others it pains me to vote against it. But I did.

Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays from my family to yours. Wishing you all
peace, Joy and Happiness.
Finally got this book cover, signed by Bob Weiss at IAAPA, into a frame. He was gracious enough to sign inside the book and the cover. Now I need to find a spot on the walls among my signed treasures from Joe Rohde, Chris Sanders and Bob Gurr.

Sounds like you need a roadtrip to my hometown.
he was more interested in people for what they were and their quality over their religion, skin color or sexual orientation.
If you look at Walt in the lense of his upbringing and the accepted practices of his time there is plenty of evidence (interviews with people that knew him, his own words, his actions) to suggest that, while he was not a social justice warrior.
We tend to want to judge people by pure time vs the times they lived in whether that be politicians, celebrities, business men or athletes. Walt simultaneously, reflected the prejudices of his time while also growing beyond them.
By todayβs definition (s)? Probably not. But after reading over 60 books on Walt and Disney related subjects I would say he was definitely more aware of social inequalities than his peers and ahead of the mores of his era.
I was expecting not to like this as it seemed gimmicky with a kid crew. But I gave it a chance and so far have really liked it.
Finished it a few weeks ago. Interesting read and approach.
Nice! Now following him!
Eddie Sotto and Tom Morris would be great!
I am migrating over here as well. My values are just not reflected there. I hope the people I do value move here or Insta. Wish you the best. I hear the fear all over including people that work for me. You have to take care of yourself before entertaining any of us.
