It may be my age showing, but I still give a chef's kiss to the animated shorts in The Super Mario Bros. Super Show. Lou Albano was Italian-American, and Danny Wells at least tried an Italian affect. Harvey Atkins had a deep, growly voice and villainous-corny dialog, rather than just wacky corny.

I wouldn't even mind so much if they would make any effort to make these actors sound like the characters they're playing. Chris Pratt just sounds like Chris Pratt, not Mario. Jack Black isn't even the right vocal pitch for Bowser, even aside from talking like a middling sitcom character.
