Same.
Another monster game by Hutson with huge 4.66 and he did it playing on his wrong side. Elite talent.
The rating for Slaf doesn't match the eye test for me though. Other than a few rough shifts in the 3rd period, I thought he was dominant out there.

That is incredibly impressive. I think the Habs truly have a generational talent developing here.
MLS says Cole was not feeling well. Heβs going to Ottawa.
The Call Of The Wilde focuses on some chemistry developing on the top three lines. Also, itβs time for David Reinbacher and why.
All for Global Montreal.

Brendan Gallagher is tied for 15th place in goals scored for the #Habs this season. He is on the 2nd PP unit.
The perfect ending to the Leafs season would be to finish 6th last. Boston has their 1st round pick this year but it's top 5 protected.
Just finished the game on delay. Great game by Slaf, Demidov, Hutson, Matheson, and Dobes. Habs had so many point blank chances to put the game really out of reach - credit Woll for keeping the Leafs in the game. Fingers crossed that Caufield isn't seriously hurt! Another big game tomorrow

The Habs projected lineup vs the Leafs tonight:
Caufield - Suzuki - Slafkovsky
Newhook - Kapanen - Demidov
Bolduc - Evans - Dach
Anderson - Danault - Gallagher
Out: Texier, Veleno, Laine
Matheson - Dobson
Guhle - Hutson
Xhekaj - Carrier
Out: Struble
Dobes
Thoughts? π€
I hope anyone going to the game tonight will crank the boos up to 11 for that jackass Auston Matthews.
Not because he's the problem with the Leafs but because he's captain of a Canadian team who let himself be used by Trump.
Same goes for Brady Tkachuk tomorrow.
Canadiens lines at morning skate:
Caufield-Suzuki-SlafkovskΓ½
Newhook-Kapanen-Demidov
Anderson-Danault-Gallagher
Bolduc-Evans-Dach
Matheson-Dobson
Guhle-Hutson
Xhekaj-Carrier
They are between a rock and a hard place
Hutson has xGoals of 65 and 62 with Dobson and Matheson, but 52 with Guhle.
Dobson and Matheson 49.
Xhexaj best Xgoals is with Engstrom at 51. Heβs only 45 with Carrier
The truth is there are no good options. Theyβre short a RHD
According to Guillaume Lefrancois of LaPresse, this will probably be the Habs lineup tonight:
Caufield-Suzuki-SlafkovskΓ½
Newhook-Kapanen-Demidov
Bolduc-Evans-Dach
Anderson-Danault-Gallagher
Matheson-Dobson
Guhle-Hutson
Xhekaj-Carrier
DobeΕ‘
The one that scares me at the offensive blueline is Matheson. The number of turnovers, blocked shots and poor passing decisions is higher than it should be.
The top line putting in stunningly good performances. The poor metrics for a D pair that donβt belong together. And the Wilde Cards answers the question is it the goaltending or the defence?
All for Global Montreal.

Life isn't fair.
Life also had Dobes in net. He posts a GSAE 2.18 plus
Nick Suzuki on the Habs defending another 3rd period, one goal lead on a 6v5 situation:
βItβs probably the hockey gods trying to test us again.β
The Canadiens are seventh in the overall NHL standings after last night's 4-3 win over the Kings in L.A. #Habs:

Juraj Slafkovsky tonight after his 3 point performance in the Habs win:
βI feel like the mindset is you want to be the guy that changes the momentum, itβs important.β
Arber can play a solid game but he will get crucified for that one egregious error. Yet nobody else ever has to face the music.
This is the shit I talk about when Xhekaj gets benched.
You watch, he will be scratched for the next game
Pleased to report with good timing that Reinbacher has levelled up in Laval. Dominating. Lots of ice time. Lots of plus in plus minus. Some points.
The right side D that they so desperately need may be coming soon.
