Thanks for having me @wtangarife.bsky.social, that was a lot of fun!

Heading to the APS Global Summit tomorrow... my first APS Meeting ever! Also, this will be (by *far*) the biggest conference I've ever attended. We'll see how it goes...
A slide showing the CERN + Neutrino Platform logos and saying "Welcome -- CERN Neutrino Platform Pheno Week 2025"
CERN's "Wandering the immeasurable" sculpture which, from a certain angle, resembles the Greek letter Ξ½.
Today is the first day of the 2025 CERN Neutrino Platform Pheno Week (indico.cern.ch/event/1454726). Looking forward to many exciting discussions on the role of neutrinos in particle physics, astrophysics, and cosmology.
Is anyone talking college football over here on this site because Iβm a pretty happy fellow right now
hell yeah proud of my Wildcats as always
they mentioned cosmology on the ESPN broadcast of Notre Dame's playoff game, my life is complete
I mean this in the kindest possible way, but Go Irish, Beat Hoosiers!
my 6 year-old hasn't figured out yet that in CFB rankings, a lower number is a "better" team. so he's AMPED to cheer on BSU in the playoffs
hey, this is awesome! I was involved in putting together this white paper (as part of the Snowmass process a couple of years ago), and I think we came up with a very useful summary of the field.
Neutrino phenomenology is a *very* exciting field, and we'll have a plethora of data to explore soon!
Etymology of the day is βjargonβ, from the Old French βjargounβ, meaning the βchattering of birdsβ.
This is the perfect cross-over content for me, a physicist who unashamedly loves pop music. I'm sad to admit that I had no idea about this until today!
I love when people refer to a place as "the Athens of ____," if only because my high school was Athens High School.
However, it was Athens High School in *Troy*, Michigan, which I guess makes us the Athens of... Troy?
a) Overleaf is the bane of my existence (I don't want anyone, even collaborators, to see every bit of change minute-by-minute!)...
b) It's actually not too hard to sync your Overleaf with Git and/or Dropbox!
View from the upper deck of Kyle Field during 11/29/24's yell practice.
We took the kids to yell practice last night (only time I'm setting football anywhere close to campus this weekend!) which was pretty dang fun! We were allllll the way up top and it was packed. Though I'm still not optimistic for the Aggies tonight π¬
the football gods have blessed us today with non-overlapping UM/OSU, ND/USC, and TAMU/UT π
my life was changed the day I realized how good an oatmeal + chocolate chip cookie can be
Per my previous emails: Jeremiyah Love
(my father, on the other hand, would be forcing me to watch Michigan vs. Northwestern, big yikes)
my son has no idea how good he has it - seamlessly going from Notre Dame Women's basketball, to hockey, to football (I promise I'm not a Peacock shill)
going to NYC for ND/Army back in 2010 was an absolute highlight of my time in the band - pumped to see them back at it
she had incredibly large shoes to fill following Muffet and I'm really impressed with how well she's been able to do so
seriously it's strange living somewhere without seasons - I'm struggling to feel the sense of time passing as a result!
look it may be in the 70s still in Texas but I'm not going to let that stop me from cleaning the house to get *hyped* for Christmas decorations π
with a new social media feed comes a chance to start *anew* (aka I will be combining my previous follow lists into one and this will be a beautiful, messy combination of physics, college football, and bad jokes)
oh stop, you probably say that about all of your collaborators! π
oof yeah better look out for right-chiral me, he's a real menace
before that (reverse chronological order), I was a postdoctoral researcher in the @cern.bsky.social and Fermilab theory groups. I studied for my PhD at Northwestern University, and before that, my BS at the University of Notre Dame
currently I'm an assistant professor in Texas A&M's department of physics & astronomy - hit me up if you're ever in the College Station area or are interested in the work our department is doing!
hey everybody, I'm Kevin if you don't already know me. I'm a particle physicist interested in all things beyond-the-Standard-Model. Neutrinos will always have my heart, but I also love studying dark matter, cosmology, etc.
I'm excited to explore Bluesky and make more connections here!
print("hello world!")
