Prototyping floor lamps to exhibit prints depicting the local lands. Grateful to my neighbour who not only showed me basic woodworking skills and lent me his tools today, but also gifted me a precious piece of Sparwood fir, which we sanded down, cut to beams and joined.

Sorry to hear. I am lucky here. There are many American Elms in the area where I live. They were planted by settlers between 50 to 80 years ago. They too suffer from drought and disease nowadays due to climate change.

June is the month of herbal ecstasy and so I took my dear friend up a hillside to introduce her to my herbal friends along the way and Fireweed up on top. She gifted us all with her beautiful voice and song, in return, full of praise and healing.

I enjoy braiding Sipatsimo for gifts to my Blackfoot teachers, friends and peeps who need some lifting energies, and most importantly, the person who gifted me with the first Sweetgras plant a few years ago. Around Summer Solstice, Sipatsimo grows most happily.

It's probably no coincidence that my awareness for Crows is growing these days. I seem to need to learn from how to best move through change in ways where I can gather what I need from past times, but leave what would hinder from living a full life going forward.

My interactions with Owl are usually few but special. This #cyanotype print captures an evening in the #yql river bottom when Great Horned Owl called out to say she would watch over me. We respectfully eyed each other before my climb back up the hill into town.

I enjoy exploring Crows, not only to grow into my name more. What sustains the process is that every time I open doors/ windows or move through Niitsitapi landscapes, my namesakes and teachers instantly make themselves heard or show up flowing across.
