I'm in love with the gloriously ironic headline.

Hi Bob. For 26 years and counting, I have been following a route to work on my bicycle which is 4 miles longer than it needs to be in both directions because there's literally zero provision for cyclists on the shorter route and it's occupied by impatient, useless drivers.
Hope this helps.
Hat My mother told me that the time had come for my girlfriend and I to legitimise our sex life. She had a point, so a few days later I found myself down on one knee in a romantic location. Unfortunately, I was rejected. My girlfriend told me she just wasn't able to see us growing old together, that I had never been quite as good in bed as she had hoped, and that under the circumstances it would be best not to drag things out any longer. When I broke the news to my mother, she was furious. She had already bought a massive hat. She took it out of its box, put it on her head and pointed at it. βWhat am I supposed to do with this fucking thing now?' she bellowed.
As I do my Great Clear Out, I keep finding things that I bought as gifts for one specific person, a person to whom I no longer send gifts, and which are unsuitable for anyone else.
Every time, I am reminded of the Dan Rhodes line: βWhat am I supposed to do with this fucking thing now?β
I make sure all my parcel deliveries have options so I never impose on neighbours, even though I get on well with them on both sides. I'm lucky to have a porch so that's the usual place.
The house directly opposite mine clearly don't offer options for where to leave a parcel so I used to have delivery drivers ask the same. The first few times, the woman just knocked on the door, took the parcel and said nothing. So I started refusing, explaining to the delivery drivers why.

Unfortunately, due to the unique way our network/vpn is configured, the old outlooks don't work so I have no choice but to use new outlook.
Microsoft Outlook update message telling me about new things I didn't ask for and don't want.
Yeah, but where's the send a message when you decline a meeting option? Where's the spell checker gone? Why are you so terrible at searching for items? Why are you telling me this shit when you can't even get the basics right?
New Outlook is absolutely terrible. Just like all new Microsoft stuff is
Any time soon they'll be embracing 15 minute cities
I'd say from that expression, he already knows.
9 MAR 2026 telegraph BREAKING NEWS Drive less to save fuel as oil prices surge, motorists told
Telegraph in even-a-broken-clock-right-twice-day moment:
"Hey Will, how would the treasure hunt along traffic-free #cycling routes on #WillCycle work?"
Glad you asked! For starters, the interactive route map will let you know if there's a hidden treasure along the route.
Then, if you wanted to play, you need to log in. There's a while MONTH's free trial!
Once you're within 20 metres from the treasure, you'll have to decipher the clues in the route guide, and start poking around till you find it.
Are you up for it?
On a related note, I'm also looking for some volunteers to hide treasure along various routes. DM me if you can help, please?
Nescio Bridge, Amsterdam. It allows people to cycle from the city centre over the Amsterdam-Rhine canal to the new housing distrcit IJburg. Built in 2005 it cost β¬9.5m and was designed by British architects WilkinsonEyre.
Christ. How come they can do it so brilliantly there and so badly here?
With the price of fuel on everyone's minds, we're due a reminder that 15% of car trips in Greater Manchester are 1km or less. That's a 12-minute walk or 4-minute bike ride.
Save some money, stretch your legs, leave the car at home.
I think they're working on mountain bike trails, building bridges with logs.

walking route on the wirral
Gone with this so far. Park up at Royden park, walk over to Landican via Arrowe Park. Back pretty much the way I came.
Wirral folk: I want to do a mothers day walk on Sunday on the wirral. Happy with distance, but want to avoid roads as much as possible. The route has to take in Landican, Thurstaston and Royden park. Looking on a map, it feels like there should be good footpaths between the three. Any suggestions?
