Dogwood blooms will be at risk in upcoming cold snaps if the temperature goes to 28F or lower for two or more hours. Hopefully we will get to see a full bloom.
Our power went our this morning at around 6 AM. The ever vigilant Goose got into bed and crawled up on my chest to alert me. True to his word he stayed until the power came back on at 8:13 AM. Goose takes no chance when comfort or food are at risk.
"Donald Trump has now ordered military attacks on more countries than any prior president. These assaults do not merely betray his campaign promises. Launched without congressional authorization, Trumpβs bombings & incursions also betray the constitution an inherently anti-monarch document" Guardian
"Churchill mobilized the English language & sent it into battle. Trumpβs trick with the mother tongue is to douse it in gasoline, set it on fire & drop it in a dumpster in the middle of his own parade ground. U.S. war on Iran is a perfect microcosm of presidential mismanagement" tinyurl.com/2z5bdxeb
A Golden Sales sales incentive trip to Munich probably in the early 1990s. A few of the pictures, Neuschwanstein Castle Nymphenburg Palace, Porta Praetoria in Regensburg (one of only two remaining Roman gates north of the Alps) and the historic LΓΆwenbrΓ€ukeller beer hall and restaurant in Munich.
Smash and grab fits the Cockwomble president very well.
I am not a fan or the current war in the Middle East nor do I believe that the war with Iran is almost over. The killing & destruction have been going on far too long.
At some point people should figure out that trying to annihilate each other is not a good strategy. Cover & article Jan. 16, 2009
Not sure where to start on this grift. Trump's sons selling Ukrainian technology to US Dept of Def. Ukrainians would have given to us if we continued to support efforts to defeat Russia. The cherry on the sundae? The technology is needed to fight a war started by their father. tinyurl.com/472art6e
I read Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations in my college econ course. "Smithβs message is neither to worship the invisible hand... It is to discipline power, defend competition and keep the focus where he always insisted it belonged: on improving the lives of ordinary people." tinyurl.com/3jncftry
This might have something to do with the pedophile in chief, the Cockwomble, who continues to defile the White House and escape from justice because our own DOJ has become his protector and aggressive defender. What a travesty! Gift article from NYT

"By Sunday morning, dark, oily smoke hung over Tehran. Such blazes can release toxic chemicals and other dangerous pollutants...One resident said they felt sick almost immediately after stepping into the smoke-filled air outside their house." NYT Gift article tinyurl.com/3a2ktfjh
Hegseth has cultivated a hypermasculine βmusclemanβ aesthetic designed to play to Trumpβs sensibilities and the rightwing media ecosystem. Now, faced with a geopolitical crisis that demands nuance and strategic foresight, he appears to many to be out of his depth.

I hope RFK Jr. doesn't notice my Ketchup chips. This was an especially good bag to accompany my Morning Star Farms burger on an English Muffin.
Jester says it was a great day for napping
It was a great start to our lives. Maybe I learned everything that I needed to know on the farm.

When we lived in New Brunswick, we would sometimes buy salmon being sold door to door by one of the tribes.

I am too old to vote with my feet, but I would move back to Canada in a heartbeat.
Since the Republicans support this war so heavily, I suggest that they pay for it and we only ship Republican troops to the Middle East. After all we want committed soldiers.
The Cockwomble continues to dole out tax breaks that only help the rich. He is, however, giving our brave sons and daughters a chance to the see the exploding Middle East. Some have already come back in caskets. Trump's War is also costing a billion dollars a day with no endgame in sight.
I could not believe this when I first saw it, but now that 200 soldiers complained, it is probably safe to say that it in fact happen,

Don't forget the violent Jan. 6 rioters who were pardoned. Based on reports covering his terms through early 2026, Donald Trump's pardons & clemency actions have wiped out over $1.3 billion to nearly $2 billion in court-ordered restitution, fines, and forfeitures. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/06/u...

Take your pick of the bad news. Trump's Economy, Trump's Gas Prices, Trump's War. We're in for some rough sledding.
At least Trump now has his own war, this Iranian war and it is a war no matter what republicans want to call it, will be known as βTrumpβs War. History shows: Tyranny doesn't end when tyrants die journalnow.com/article_30d1...
Tillamook is widely available in NC. At least three or four of the big chains carry it. I have cheddar by them in the fridge now.
