Folks, I have an agent. This book (and the next that is already in progress) is one step closer to reality.
I managed to buy $30 worth of comics for myself.
After, continued to talk about how much she missed everyone, especially Pikachu and the alligator.
Went in for a high five to an alligator furry, then BOOM, switched into a family level hug. All were shocked.
Met Pikachu for the first time, became an instant fan. Really did follow Pikachu around the entire convention.
Immediately drawn to the furries and wanted to follow them around the entire convention.
Called the stormtroopers her friends after just one high five, asked if they could come home with us
Highlights from eldest’s (3.5yo) first comic con: really wanted a sword, so we got a sword
if my kids weren't so cute I would be absolutely consumed with how agent querying makes me feel like the worst writer/human/animal anyone has ever seen
Every time I put on a white shirt it feels like an act of pure hubris
I’m a real sucker for a well-crafted, page long sentence
Kept falling asleep while making the lecture PowerPoint for today’s classes so I’m excited to see what surprises I left myself

One thing I’d forgotten about 4yrs ago that the fires are making clear is the constant worry that something could happen and assistance wouldn’t come because one man’s fragile ego would use my family as props for his own spite.

Seems a big piece of being a parent is you have to find the 2-3 chores that feel like you’re taking a break and then you gotta occupy the hell out of that niche
