the further something is the slower it should move, the random not-buildings rectangles do look a lot closer than i made the parallax imply
so that makes sense on why it looks off

and yeah i see what you mean actually, it doesn't look as noticeable looking at it again, i was afraid of overshooting the value and making the parallax feel a bit too intense
it's good feedback so i'll keep that in mind!

i have made some more progress now, i have the ability to beat up enemies (they don't do anything yet), as well as background parallax and all that nice stuff!

Two renditions of Lillian between 2021 and 2025, featuring her classic green tunic and light use of plate mail. She's gotten taller and more expressive since the last version.
Comparison of my sketch to a draw over by @nexil. They suggested increasing the leaf/petal imagery across her look, including ornaments and a hat. I really liked their suggestion of switching the metallic armor with a gambeson for a sleeker look.
