I was fooling around with video editing software and I edited voices and sounds from Popeye into BATMAN V. SUPERMAN.

Wile E. suing the Acme Corporation is not something I can see sustaining a 90-minute movie (though once I might have said the same thing about Porky and Daffy saving the world), but I think those who worked on it shouldn't have all their hard work go to waste, and those who want to see it should.

One good thing about the 'Looney Tunes' and 'Popeye' DVDs rotting: the world may never hear that egotistical hack Kricfalusi's terrible audio commentaries again.

I saw Wicked recently and kept thinking about how I’d love to rewatch The Wizard of Oz, a movie with actual color, and watching it I’m just so overwhelmed by the amount of heart and earnest in it. I hate that we’ve been made so afraid of vulnerability and always have to overcorrect

I say this as someone who has always had a very snarky, dry, and self deprecating sense of humor: I so. So! SO despise how irony poisoned everything has become. I wish films and shows and stories and people could wear their heart on their sleeves without anxiously following it up with an ironic jab

Seasonal Pictograph depicting a courtship through the seasons--one of the first things I ever made in Adobe Illustrator. It's not without its flaws, but I'm still a bit proud of it.

Colorized version of a previous vector composition (also attached). As per my instructor's critique, I moved the magic lamp and smoke further to the right to make the composition more balanced, and rotated the sparkles for more variety.

Colorized version of a previous vector composition (also attached). I added that time-honored split-complementary combination, red (engine and ties) and cyan (sky and ballast). For aesthetic reasons, I also changed the billowing smoke from black to white.

Zebra stripes in Adobe Illustrator. The assignment was to create an image with an indeterminate background and foreground. Although zebras are actually black with white stripes, it's not always easy to tell because of the way their stripes are arranged--in other words, just what I needed.

Snowman made in Adobe Illustrator. The assignment was to toy with negative space; I know it doesn't look like it, but the white elements are actually part of the background! (How is the Snowman able to drink hot chocolate without melting? Your guess is as good as mine.)
