This year marks a decade of The Division series, games that have meant so much to me over the years while also managing to frustrate me in near equal measure.

Been a sec since we've run one of these threads: Hey there, we're Unwinnable! We've been publishing 100% independent pop culture criticism since 2010.
Since we mainly count on reader funding, our writers write what's on their minds -- not what's best for the algorithm or investors.
The Division 2 contains both much of what I love about video games and also the worst modern tendencies of the medium.

Few more important works of fiction to me than Berserk but uh, a complicated conversation to even begin talking about it with those unfamiliar.
One of the many great things about Primal is that itβs nice to have a version of Berserk that I can recommend without reservation.
If Silicon Valley psychos have taught us anything itβs that you can embrace Reddit atheist thought and be much more of a piece of shit than a Lutheran grandma

MOUSEKA-GIGER [photo of HR Giger in a mouseketeer hat and holding an Oscar] ... AsΒ fan of H.R. Giger, I have been collecting his prints and corresponding with him for some time. So, when he arrived in Los Angeles for the Academy Awards, I wasted no time in contacting him. Enclosed is a photograph of him posing with his award for ALIEN. He had just been to Disneyland the day before, which explains the hat. As a fan of STARLOG, I would like to share this picture with the readers. Iβm sure they would enjoy seeing this Mouseka-Giger! there's so much bad in the world but there's also people who lift up and carry an elderly bat around every day so he can pretend he's flying again, and that's the part of the world I think is worth fighting for

Like the 2000s pop culture were so afraid of βthe otherβ (I get the irony of the term here) and then thereβs Lost. Again not a perfect show but still feels like an oasis in comparison to so much of what was going on.
youtu.be/_P52G4Kyq5M?...
(Deeply choked up) thatβs the stuff
Wouldnβt say Lost has completely aged gracefully but its global humanist storytelling at the same time we had Jack Bauer running around TV feels kinda incredible.
βYaβll have been playing golf?!β
