The SW and NW sides are so bad for people safety. But great for fast cars
@chitransportassoc
Chicago transport, bikes, walking, zoning, biz, but no guarantee we won’t talk about something else. Don’t take all posts literally. Also Fediverse/Threads: chicagotransportassociation@threads.net
The SW and NW sides are so bad for people safety. But great for fast cars
This can only happen because Democrats did not take seriously the threat of Republicans dismantling democracy. They should realize we demand justice for all the illegal things that have occurred in this admin.

Unlike the Bears, the billionaire owner of the @chicagofirefc.bsky.social isn’t demanding tax breaks.

The far NW side will have a freak out and I personally would love that
Hundreds packed into Chicago's Federal Plaza this evening in protest of the U.S.-Israeli massacre in Iran.
It’s frankly embarrassing that the city does this.
Happening now: a protest in Chicago's federal plaza is underway in response to US and Israeli strikes on Iran earlier today.
Chicago Ald. Byron Sigcho Lopez just addressed the crowd, which I'd put at a couple hundred people strong. A lone counterprotestor is also posted up across the street.

Worst of the worst
Hold strong
@duckworth.senate.gov @durbin.senate.gov
Maybe if we give the Bears money that will help
Wow, the Bears might as well have written this @us.theguardian.com editorial. It fails to understand that Chicago doesn’t have to put up with this. They’re billionaires and Chicago and Illinois should not subsidize them.

Hot take: build more and better public transport so that taking a Waymo is worse
Sometimes, I go for a needless trip outside just to see other people in the neighborhood. Imagine how boring it is to have everything delivered to you all the time
800 units in a very in demand area is great for the city!

We need to lure the Lucas Museum back!
Who needs the Bears anyway
Oh great. I can be run over by a non-human driver
Apologies @duckworth.senate.gov is not attending. Great!
I won't be attending the State of the Union address.
I’m not interested in hearing another campaign rally full of lies.
Yet @duckworth.senate.gov and @durbin.senate.gov apparently will attend SOTU
Hey @durbin.senate.gov @duckworth.senate.gov an idea:
When asked why they are not attending, Democrats should reply: “We do not treat a lawless autocrat who attacks our democracy, demonstrates contempt for Congress, and covers up for pedophiles like a normal president.”

We did this all wrong. Should have kicked the Bears out and built the Lucas Museum within the stadium
They’ve gone into hiding, but are still regularly ignoring the constitution.
No Kings on March 28. Find one near you.
Just a reminder that @durbin.senate.gov and @duckworth.senate.gov should have massive changes in how DHS operates before funding them
Good news, Chicago! You’re busy March 28 and your job is to bring everyone you know with!
The best part about the West Loop is that there aren’t people who have lived there “for decades” telling you that other people also shouldn’t live there. I’m sure they try, but it doesn’t have the same strength to the alderman as an old timer
The Bears can leave — and don’t let the door hit you on the way out
If Indiana wants to give billionaires money, the people of Indiana deserve to be fleeced

Yes, if that’s your beat I suppose. Otherwise, I always find it odd to see people claim no thoughts on any topic
Ironically, local journalists would probably not get involved, whatever their personal feelings, due to refusal to have opinions or something
Hold strong on the DHS budget, @durbin.senate.gov @duckworth.senate.gov.
They won’t even allow an impartial look at this while you’re determining their budget. Why would they become fair later?
