This is true and I was the only one on set excited about it (and playing the song on my phone to blank stares)

Look, I'm sure that Nolan's adaptation of "The Odyssey" will be fun, but I highly doubt it will be as good as the original.
if you're wondering why gAI is getting crammed into everything, it's because funding for it is built on the Uber model of subsidizing an expensive product until you supplant the previous, useful one, then jack up the price
they just haven't figured out exactly which product that is yet

Panel from an Archie newspaper comic. Betty tells Archie that "being an usher after school must be prime" and Archie responds "oh, it gets kind of butthole at times."
TIL that "butthole" was youth slang in 1947, or Bob Montana thought it was, and it was considered innocent enough to print in the newspaper funnies.
Happy birthday!
My Hiccup! (with Jessi's Astrid)
Oh my gosh, this is such a useful word for describing my reaction to a whole host of technology and culture trends.
I know it's for Disney, but all I could think of was SHREK.
two images. First: a Five Guys restaurant sign at night with some of the letters not lit up, so it appears to read "IV GUYS". Second: Patrick Stewart as Captain Picard in the Star Trek: The Next Generation episode "Chain of Command, Part II", the one where the Cardassian interrogator is trying to get him to say there are four lights instead of five.

Humans are lazy. We optimise and streamline everything we can. This is an amazing drive which has powered innovation from pointy sticks to atomic energy. I’m really worried by the early research we’re seeing implying that this dependency build with AI is very real. Another reason to avoid it.

Rough cartoon drawing of a classic style pink Care Bear with a grumpy moon symbol on her tummy. The moon has a red crashed spacecraft in his eye.
Back when I was on the old site, I had a pinned tweet that said, "My husband said if I was a Care Bear, I'd have the Méliès crashed spacecraft as my Tummy Symbol." Voila, I just drew it.
