πŸŽ™οΈ β€œThe point of public health is to create a place where people can live life in their fullest extent…” @admbriggs.bsky.social @healthfoundation.bsky.social

In our latest episode of #PublicHealthDisrupted, we are reminded that public health is about enabling life, not restricting it.

A screenshot of a PowerPoint slide that reads 'exploring Iindigenous health and wellbeing in the context of climate change' and features a drawing by Indigenous artist Elisapee Ishulutaq. "In her oil stick drawing Climate Change (2012) Ishulutaq depicted a lone Inuk in a parka, an igloo and a tree on either side. The figure faces the tree, which has begun to bloom despite being rooted in a patch of icy ground [1]. Behind them is a melting igloo, which seems to slump towards the figure, the impact of the heat warping its shape into an uncomfortable bend." https://www.inuitartfoundation.org/profiles/artist/Elisapee-Ishulutaq

We're looking for UK men aged 40-65 to give us some paid feedback on a video featuring 2 men talking about experiences of #suicidal thoughts. We want to know if it will be helpful for other men, even if they have never felt suicidal. Up to 1 hour of your time to help in our #suicideprevention work.

The definition of madness Governments need to stop making the same incredibly expensive mistake over and over again

As it's in the news again - this is the post I wrote a few months ago on why the disability benefits bill has been going up.

Essentially, you can't remove need by removing support - it just pops up as a cost somewhere else.

While the world watches Israel's war with Iran, Netanyahu's extremist government continues to starve and massacre Palestinians in Gaza.

Today, Israeli forces again opened fire on people desperately trying to collect food aid, killing dozens. Over 56,000 have been killed so far.

Thank you for doing the work to correct mis citations!! and looking forward to seeing how you’re applying our concept in your own work.

Worth noting that phase zero can take YEARS- not sessions. And the reason for that is because power takes time to shift.

The hijacking of the press conferences by right wing propagandists, at the leaders debates, tells you all you need to know about electing Poilievre.

He's already promised to limit access to legitimate news by defunding #CBC but is happy to answer Rebel Media questions.

How did it come to this? Labour’s journey from landslide victory to β€˜deep unhappiness’ Rachel Reeves’s speech next week is being crafted as a β€˜re-education’ on Labour’s achievements amid gloominess and sinking poll ratings

It's really not that hard. We understand that Labour had a difficult inheritance. It's more that, since taking office, Labour has (it sometimes feels deliberately) stuck its middle finger up at almost everything Labour voters care about. 🧡 www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...

We're in London today with a big old bus to tell our Govt this country cannot afford cuts. Instead they should tax us, the super rich. A 2% wealth tax alone could raise up to Β£460mln a week. @Keir_starmer - invest in a fairer economy. Patriotic Millionaires say Tax Our Wealth

This kind of violence is sickening. The purposeful act of not seeing. It is vile. Designed to make us feel insane. We are not insane.

They got one thing right - it’s not war. It’s genocide. Israel is committing genocide.

Opinion | Musk Said No One Has Died Since Aid Was Cut. That Isn’t True. A journey through the front lines of global poverty shows that when the world’s richest men slash aid for the world’s poorest children, the result is sickness, starvation and death.

The world's richest man stole food from the world's poorest children. Now they are beginning to die

'Pandemic babies' turn 5: Here’s what research tells us about their development and remarkable resilience Our research has found that most pandemic-born children have been remarkably resilient to the disruptions caused by COVID.

Despite early concerns, research shows most β€œpandemic babies” are developing normally. What does this teach us about childhood resilience and the importance of support systems during global #crises?

What I would like to see, are all the countries that trump is bullying build a collective that excludes him entirely. because that is what he is. A bully. We have over relied on the US for too many things for too long.

In an article β€œWe have no clue how many people live in Britain - and Starmer doesn’t care” (Jan,23) it was stated that one in 12 people in London is an illegal migrant. The figure is up to one in 13 in the Thames Water London Water Resource Zone , which does not cover the whole of London. We are happy to correct the record.

In an online article β€œUp to one in 12 in London is an illegal migrant” (Jan, 22), the figure of 7,044,667 was the estimated population of the Thames Water London Water Resource Zone, excluding irregular migrants, not geographical London which is about 9 million. β€œUp to 1 in 12 illegal migrants” was incorrect and ought to have been β€œup to 1 in 13”, based on the study’s upper figure for irregular migrants, which includes children born in the UK with irregular status and, it is understood, those with indefinite leave to remain. We are happy to correct the record.

The Telegraph has now published not one but *three* separate corrections of its repeated false claims about "illegal immigrants in London".

The latest one is of Lord Frost's bizarre and ignorant rant here:

The academy is full of people who think you must be hard, to be critical. A mentor, Suman Fernando passed away recently, and with him an era of kind, gentle deeply thoughtful scholar activism. I am honoured to have known him. If you are a race or mental health scholar his work is essential.

Update.

The Telegraph has now corrected its entirely fabricated claim that 1 in 12 Londoners is an "illegal migrant" and has accepted that this claim was false in *four" separate respects.

However, this has not resolved my complaint to IPSO - I will continue to request a front-page correction.
