I bring up his mam because she'll probably be reading it to him.

I want to buy my godson a book as gaeilge. He is turning 5. His mam is American so no Irish at all. Something very simple and easy to translate yourself with common sense if possible.
I've had Naoise on my baby name list for years. Ahead of the curve I guess...
Aldi have a smashing one and it's made in Kildare
I got new electric rads installed today. DIY job. But, 2 work on a timer set in the fuse box. There were storage heaters previously. I'll have to get an electrician. Any electricians out there know if this is a tough job? Can this part of the fuse box get set back to the mains?
"If you're thinking about doing a masters - don't" would be my advice ๐
I'm very happy for this person.
I haven't seen it but I predict it's trying too hard to be sexy, shocking and edgy so much so that it is none of these things.
This post is more what I'm on about really. Ya some people pick up stuff but in these situations it's different.

You're dead right. I said "I ped for your coffee" the other day to my friend and he replied with "you what?" I'll continue translating but won't change for people that think Laois is 4 hours away.
"Nobody would take me seriously :( yet I will also continue this prejudice towards the accent"
It's classism & something makes people think sounding like a S Dub makes them easier to understand & taken more seriously. I work in tech with these accents in abundance. Have me as I am or not at all. If ya think I sound thick well that's a you issue. People need to stop watering themselves down.
Came across a Tiktok about Midlands people having a D4 accent. People are blaming living, working or going to college in Dublin. Lads, I'm here over 6 years. I still sound like a Laois woman. Going S Dub is a choice I'm afraid to sound posh. You don't hear of people inheriting a N Dub accent.
I hate that he is so funny because he's evil as hell.
Oh, the grand old duke of york
He โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
He โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
And he โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ
I would love men as a whole to understand that you don't have to come in with a contradiction or a correction in order to join a conversation.
You can actually just say "I agree" and not be one-upping anyone
Nah, it's not on.
Yeap ๐ "transformative" maybe if they offered it for galleries, theatre and museums. Idk.
Depends on the concert I suppose!
I doubt a โฌ100 culture card is on the list of priorities for Young people. Rag weeks this year were dead if we're talking culture, gigs and night life because they can't afford to go out.
He is on social media about fairies & how special his land is. He does guided tours. Guarantee this isn't his 1st time doing this & having people coming to his land for tours is concerning. Fair play to the girl for speaking up & the staff on the plane.

Also, couches are expensive!! I calculated a couch set, 4.5k. I may start selling my socks or something to afford anything.
I'd say this has happened so much ๐
I'm on the hunt for a couch. I just found out EZ Living and EZ Living interiors are not the same shop. Whoever came up with EZ second needs to rename their business. Too EZ to mix them up.
I'd never wish harm on anyone usually but wish it on the bushman.
I wish the media would just start ignoring Enoch now. It's a joke at this stage. And don't get me started on his supporters that are buying into the trans part of it. Facts and truth don't matter anymore.
It's a real shame you can't have a private account on here. I don't want to be hootin' and hollerin' publicly.
