Moustakas dugout catch
One of my favorite postseason moments was Mike Moustakas robbing Adam Jones of a home run in 2014

Saw the Spin Doctors/Gin Blossoms/Blues Traveler tour last summer. Barron kind of acted as an unofficial MC and tied the 3 sets together, really made an effort to entertain the crowd.

Anyone who says otherwise is a lamestain.
IIRC that's how I found out about the doc. The soundtrack was on the shelf at our college radio station. I didn't nick it, but I listened to it, definitely killer. Didn't see the doc until a few years later.
Good book. I also like "Hype!", a wry, breezy (under 90 minutes) documentary about grunge.

I've lived in STL for almost 30 years. When I go car shopping, I tell the salesperson "I know this is St. Louis, but I want this car to have turn signals".

I was just in Charleston & heard about Stede Bonnet, who was known as a "gentleman pirate". I had to ask the obvious: "Isn't that a contradiction in terms?" The tour guide patiently explained it was because he had wealth & land before becoming a pirate, & bought his first ship instead of taking it.
Just ordered, thanks!

Help me make sense of this. TIL Gene Tenace's given name is Gino Tenacci, which is so much better. His first name Fiore was also anglicized to Fury, which is awesome, but he went by Gene anyway. And his nickname was Steamboat.

Just got this. It's back.
@thepressbox.bsky.social Do we have a contender here for the lowest stakes ever in a breaking of silence?
Pretty sure that's John Gorman, who was in a group called The Scaffold with Mike McCartney.
Is there a free agent back left out there you like as a complement to Walker?
Do we know if he's been slow to ram up in previous seasons, even to a lesser extent? If not, wondering if there should be a shutdown for him.
Going into this week, I heard a suggestion of KC extending and restructuring Humphrey as a "safe" move that could create some shorter term flexibility. I'm guessing the cost of doing that has now gone up and become less safe.
Agreed, it would be hard to track. I think I'd want to be more aggressive in shutting players down sooner, but it's obviously more complicated than that.
My daughter's best friend and her family moved from our very walkable neighborhood to one 40 minutes away with no sidewalks. When we do dropoff or pickup, it's jarring and eerie, no one is walking around at all.
I'd be curious which injuries have players day to day the longest before ultimately going on the IL. It's probably not fair to say that's a misdiagnosis, but it's frustrating for everyone involved, in real and fantasy baseball.
Asking because I would think that's common with soft tissue injuries.

I was one episode and done on Lucky Hank. Are either of them better?
