Honored to be part of the team of writers behind the @unfpa.org State of the World Population 2025 report.
The real fertility crisis: The most consequential reproductive decision a person can make –when, whether and with whom to have a child– is being undermined by a set of barriers and obstacles
Wonderful report on #fertility. Time to reflect about those politicians using the argument of “cultural changes” as a way to save on public policies (and more sustainable societies).
Among the authors a fantastic @agnese-vitali.bsky.social ❤️
Another piece of my PhD thesis is now published in International Migration Review!
How many immigrants get transnationally separated from their children in the migration process, and how does this affect their mental health in the short- and medium- term?

The International Sociological Association (ISA) deeply mourns the tragic passing of Michael Burawoy, a leading sociologist, Professor of Sociology at UC Berkeley, and the 17th President of ISA. Michael was fatally struck in a hit-and-run accident on February 3rd. His loss is immeasurable.
It's possible he thinks gravity makes water pour down from North to South
Thanks a lot @csisunitn.bsky.social for hosting me in your wonderful seminar and research group and for the inspiring feedback!
It has been a beautiful stay <3
Maybe I have been a bit radical here, to just saying that I agree with this article by @ilpost.it ❤️
If our research and teaching is good, transfer will be at least promoted (and done) by others. Or not and it’s still fine.
If we do not change the focus on the substance of science (teaching & research, possibly good teaching and good research) I fear the only transfer we can build is a sort of slogan-based simplified reality. (Where I think we need just the opposite).
(segue)
