Glad it didnβt decide to touch down!
Sat in my dusty basement a while this evening listening to David Payne with my family while the hook went right over us. Oklahoma!
I really wish people would stop saying Trump shouldn't be President because he is a "felon."
There are MILLIONS of people with felonies (including me), and we did our time and earned our rights back
Trump should not be POTUS b/c he is a cruel a**hole who doesn't care about anything but himself
My best hope is that he fucks up so blatantly and badly that he turns a critical mass against ICE.
Eh, I can get behind most of this, but plenty of plumbers are great, and plenty of people who didnβt go to college are great. These are not good things to use as insults.
Markwayne Mullin is my senator, and he THE WORST.
It is good that Noem was fired, but Mullin may, in fact, be worse.
Seriously. Or the president could stop making countries isolate them into a death spiral. That wouldnβt even cost anything!
Ok, I went over and checked them out. Awesome! Iβm glad you are still doing them!
@nanaeymn.bsky.social you doing okay? I miss your Thunder drawings!
Vote @pixleyforcongress.bsky.social to replace him!
Say a prayer for the men whose lives have been upended.
Say a prayer for the families that donβt yet know that their loved one is gone.
Say a prayer for the ICE agents who somehow justify their cruelty.
A white work van on the side of the road with the license plate blacked out.
When you see a van like this abandoned on the side of the road, it is because ICE abducted everyone in it on their way to work.
This is from OKC this morning. It happens every day.
This is fantastic!!!
Right!? We might find something that would work and then after a couple of days they would βadaptβ and go back to square one. Youngest is 11 now and we seem to be out of the woods as far as mornings go. New challenges have arisen though.
There were phases with my 3 kids where everyday after I finally got them to school I cried because it all sucked so much and I had turned into such an asshole. I tried to adapt and come up with better routines and more time and more positive reinforcement. But it still turned into a disaster often.

And I like to think that a couple hundred people showing up to the City Council meeting and making it last 5 hours had something to do with it too. Hopefully we helped the owner see reason.
This is beautiful.
Exactly.
I know organizers here are glad that so many people are newly paying attention, but frustrated they are putting their energy into the wrong places, like stocking up on whistles. Whistles certainly have their place, but listen to the affected locals who have been doing the work all along!
But our rapid response looks different. I have no doubt that experienced Latino organizers in Washington also know what works best there. But they may not be great at explaining it on a flyer.
The feds are targeting Minneapolis to make a point and their operation in a red state is much different. Groups here would do better donating money the money they would have spent on whistles to CRNOK or DAOK- the organizations doing mutual aid, free legal clinics, and yes, ICE rapid response.
I think you are spot on. In OKC where I am, there is very little use for whistles because ICE operates differently in OKC than it does in Minneapolis. Here they operate surgically. Taking out one person or one car full - and being done and gone within a few minutes.
In OKC that is CRNOK and Dream Action Oklahoma.
Ok. Wherever people are, I hope they listen to the local people who have been doing the work, organizing responses, and figuring out what works for over a year now.
