Good to hear from you π we were growing concerned.
Good to hear from you π we were growing concerned.
We've had a lot of talk about Stargrunt II recently, a game I've loved since way back in the 90's, having sold and reinvested in 15mm, I was suitably inspired to crack out my figures and get em painted and on the table.
First 20 NSL, GZG figures. Suitably Teutonic looking Germanics.
Indeed, I've tried 1/48, didn't work out so well, which is why I'm attempting my prefered scale.
Cheers π
They are challenging, I've built some of their vehicles, an older style of engineering and design, coupled with brittle plastic are probably the route cause. But that said I've seen some beautiful examples built.
Not a Zeppelin dirigable, althoughthat wouldbequitesomething to see as a scalemodel, but Zeppelin Staaken WW1 Strategic bomber.
Thanks π, this is a practice prelude to the big stuff, Gotha, Felixstowe and Zeppelin Staaken, so wanted to practice on some fighters first.
Another piece finished, Inquisitor Greyfax, a cracking figure, and a lot of fun to paint.
Now if I can do all of my SoB like this I'll be happy!
Erm yes, you could say that, there may have even been some cussing!
My first attempt at a 1//72 biplane.
Roden Sopwith Camel Comic
Still needs a pile of work on the paintwork, and a tweak here and there. Decals, weathering etc.
Be gentle π

Absolutely correct Matthew, from 3 different sets. And interesting to see the size difference! But, people are not the same height and build though eh π
They still need a lot of work before painting.
I hope so, repair and recovery kit is one of my principal interests, so trying to achieve accuracy and as best I can achieve.
Thankee π
A long way from finished........
Finally got some decent tracks for this resting project.
With those assembled and fitted, it's on with the figures, they fit the scene and tell the story better than expected!
Onto the support vehicle next.

It's made all the more interesting by the fact that two different uniforms have been combined, drummer, and hornist.
Something the sculptor has really captured, very relaxed natural pose.
Isnt it, will be interesting to paint.
Just prepping this figure I picked up at Scale Model World Telford.
An Imperial Guard Marine Drummer.
Such a superb pose it was impossible to resist.
28mm Russian for scale.

I thought it might be too late for entering, might not be the best of times as a little time poor at the moment.
Cheering myself up with a purchase from Saturday, as a terrible start to the morning.
A WW1 German motorcycle dispatch rider, from Copper State Models, 3d printed.
As you can see the details are incredible, just needs a little tweaking here and there.

That's good advice, Roden plastic seems a little brittle, thanks Roy π
Talented bugger..... quick break his fingers π
Happy anniversary π₯
I had no concept of how big this bag of string was! Just that it is bigger than the Gotha.....
.......It's big, really big...... trust me on this π¬

Visited the IPMS Scale Model World show in Telford yesterday.
First port of call was CSM where a small sum of money was exchanged for some rather fine products.
The 1916 4hp 2-cyl wanderer MC....... π€― stunning!

Working some proof of concept colours and effects on my undead, the way GW have painted them to my eye looks too bright and shiny for dead that have lay rotting.
Thus, dirty fabric, rusty and moulding armour.
Any feedback would be great.
They are really nice sculpts, the Deathrattle skellies are well designed with a huge range of variables.
Over the years I've been resistant to buying into GW, but since my son has dived in feet first, apparently so have I!
After months of cajoling I've planted my flag in AoS undead! Beautiful miniatures and strangely addictive. Stands alongside my SoB π
Might be staying with KK at this rate!
I'll bookmark that thought for 3d prints, just in case!
The WA command box is actually very good, plenty of standards and command elements.
The YouTube video review of HeihΕ, lost me at 'grid', and compounded with the combat mechanism π
Leon is always open to a little nudge, and with taking a break from the show circuit, may give them that extra window of time to see these things through.
Yes Pendraken scales really well with the WA figures.
The plastic is a little brittle though, so the Nagae Yari do require a lot of care removing from the sprue.
