The audience would be 10-20 bright liberal arts students, but they won’t necessarily have any background in philosophy of mind in particular. Trying to avoid the overly obvious (what is it like to be a bat, Mary in the room, etc.).

Anyone have any suggestions of topics for a 30-minute teaching demo in phil mind? I’m hoping to find a topic that could be accessible without being able to assign them any reading (or possibly a fairly short reading) and that would be conducive to discussion, small group work, etc.

If only there were some role in society, a profession maybe, where someone could publicly, persistently ask leaders hard questions to make them explain themselves…
