the stars, tiny morsels
to snack on til dawn,
when the moon
eats her fill
of the clouds
and the hills
then sleeping in late
she tucks away
her plate,
until the night
rolls 'round again.

my heart will not unlock—
its cogs don't spin
so cleanly
there is a gentle knack,
few have ever cracked
& I can't offer
any advice—
only my heart knows
how it works
but once in a magical
blue moon,
another heart ticks
in rhyme with mine—
the lock turns
& my heart
opens.
An ocean-blue sky
graces the day, as if
the splashing sea
has poured itself
over the soul
of the world—
and the wind,
that quiet enabler,
helpfully sweeps
the clouds away
a gentle peace outside
honours the pace
of the morning
and so, I don't feel
uncomfortable
whiling the day away.
"Is this love? " is not
a question I need ask, my
heart holds the answer.
