Trump's goal really does seem to be traumatizing the entire world.
I said "senators." Any and all of them who voted for this cabinet, no matter the party.
The problem and blame doesn't just fall on Trump. But the US senators who confirmed this cabinet -- especially Pete Hegseth -- should never escape blame for the moral failure they have inflicted on the world.
I think it is safe to say that Trump, his cabinet, and his administration make the stupidest choice regarding absolutely everything.
Sixty years ago, the Supreme Court upheld the Voting Rights Act to protect Americans of all races, ethnicities, and language backgrounds from discriminatory election rules. Even if today’s justices refuse to do the same, we must continue the fight to protect the vote.

Very probable that there is strong influence and mutual authoritarian benefit here. But that doesn't mean conspiracy. It only means that these sorts of leaders need one another for ideas, inspiration, common goals. You can have an axis without a conspiracy.
You are right. It is one thing to point out the Trump-Netanyahu bro-authoritarianism and their obvious influence on and manipulation of each other -- and the kind of slippage you discuss. I tried to talk about this on a podcast yesterday and found dissecting the nuances hard going (but necessary!).

It is possible to embrace things on the basis of confirmation bias. But things are so dangerous right now that we need to be better than that.

Pete Hegseth clearly needs therapy. Praising murder without mercy and dismissing suffering and violence reveals a profound moral and emotional corruption and sickness.
His capacity to glory over destruction is inhumane.
I wrote this when Trump moved our embassy to Jerusalem. Perhaps more relevant this week than ever - as some hope for Armageddon and the return of Christ.
