Excited to share that our paper "Trapped in Declining Occupations: Barriers to Worker Mobility in a Changing Economy" has been accepted at Science Advances.
Using U.S. Occupational Outlook Handbook data (2000-2020), we examine how occupational restructuring affects worker mobility.

The topic is personal. I grew up in my grandpa's village home in rural Guangdong while my father worked in the cityβ€”seeing him once a week was normal. Thanks to my mother and grandpa's constant presence, I rarely felt the disruption. But the data shows not all kids are that fortunate.
