Yeah... I don't think anybody actually studied the reason why Mel Brooks' comedy worked. He didn't do parody out of spite, he did it because he respected the source material and wanted to make a more cynical/comedic spin on it. Say what you want about Spaceballs, at least it respected the soruce.

Thanks Dusty, that truly means a lot. It’s weird how the world can make you feel powerless even when you’re employed. If you’re doing something you hate for the rest of your life, you end up losing your passions. That being said, I’m going to continue perusing mine.
