Just finished reading 'The Micro Kids' by Gary Plowman. Absolutely loved it! So many memories triggered while reading this, and great to know that me and my mates weren't alone! Lol. Highly highly recommended for all us 80s kids that lived through this awesome decade. 10/10 ๐

My latest acquisition, unusually for me was fully working, however, it had seen better days. So I've spent the last few days fully restoring her. So happy with the end result! This is my fully restored OU Hektor 3.

Hello mate, yes, I've had some success with duino's, but to be honest, wavs work just as good. Peripheral wise, either the Micro Expander, or an MX add-on to give you more ram, better sound and usb support. Failing that, the original Mini Expander for additional cart support, AY sound and joy pads

Of course there are some great new games for the Aquarius that are free on digital, and only ยฃ8 on physical cassette ๐
For just the computer (working), anything below ยฃ150 is good. It's the additional peripherals that can be expensive. The Micro Expander can be ยฃ80-ยฃ100 on its own, so if you can get the machine with a ME for under ยฃ200, that's good. 10 years ago, you'd have got the whole lot for ยฃ60 ๐ณ
US models are 120v NTSC. But the good news is that there are many UK PAL models out there, and they aren't silly money (yet!)

Will hello there!!! Welcome to my world of wee blue key awesomeness. Anything other than RF is a nightmare on the Aquarius tbh. Composite can be done, but it's major surgery. I tend to use something called an Avermedia box, that keys me do RF in, and VGA out. Of course the 'quality' is still RF.

Elite is running on my Atom. It is based on the Elk version. Its a tad slow tbh, but definitely playable.

Missus back to work today, but I'm off until the 4th.. so decided to redo my tank. I think it's looking great. You don't really get a sense of size on the photo, but it's a 50x25x18 inch tank (385 litre).
I entered this years VCCC 2025. Was much more difficult than previous years. Of course I had to do a wee blue key entry!The goal was to create a snowflake in the shortest amount of code you can. My goal was to get it under 300 bytes. Managed 297,but squeezed it to 272 on my PET
