A busy day running around researching…incl. a visit to The National Archives 😀 Meanwhile, today’s #househistory feature in The Times is the wonderful story of a house in Cressington Park in Liverpool! 😁 #househistories
A busy week pulling together two big #househistory projects being bound into books! Meanwhile, today’s #househistories feature in The Times is a fascinating house linked with ship owners, a scientist, and an artist! 😀
Having fun researching the history of an old mill in Hampshire! 😁 #househistory #househistories #history
It’s on until the 15th…so not long but still just short of two weeks left 😀
Saw the amazing #LeeMiller exhibition at the @tate.bsky.social Britain yesterday!! Genuinely fantastic. Her photos of women working during the Blitz and her photos of war torn Europe (including concentration camps!)…are extraordinary and shocking - but a must see!
@jonathanfoyle.bsky.social In case you'd not seen this recent central Shrewsbury tragedy. The Grade II* building was restored, & her home for 40 years, by the lady who sadly died in the fire. Immediate all weather protection is required to prevent total loss of the property.

Do you have a research project that would benefit from extra funding? The VAG offers grants for the study and presentation of vernacular architecture and there's still time to submit an application for the current round of Research Grants! Closing date: 28 February. See www.vag.org.uk/grants.htm.
If you want to stop this because the price is too high in terms of commuting misery, impact on the heritage buildings, and placing the local community in the shadow of another tall building, please object here: Here's our helpful Guide: bit.ly/4jLWsim #SaveLiverpoolStreetStation
