Now more than ever I’m convinced losing Anthony Bourdain meant we lost probably the biggest person on tv who advocated for the wonders of meeting new people and calling anyone online who hated learning new cultures the children they were, ruthlessly to the camera.
A generic profile account just said cost of goods goes up because trucks pay more for gas. True.
But an effective rail+plus trucking system (known as intermodal) is less than half the cost of trucking alone.
Add the use of EV semis and it gets even better.

Electricity rates are spiking as AI data centers pop up across the country. Households and small businesses should not be made to subsidize data centers while they already struggle to get by. Our nation's public utility commissions set household rates--they can act now.
Go to your county’s website and sign up to be an election judge. One of the duties you can choose to do is ballot collection. The county will train you.
The answer as always is to organize. See MN for a recent example how to effectively do so. Have each other's backs. Always. Also, it isn't like black voters haven't done this before. Thus why they've been doing souls to the polls for 60 years (because community is always the answer to fascist).
I keep thinking about voter intimidation. People may not want to go to a dropbox or fear they need a passport, so they won't vote at all. I feel like we need to start training for ballot collection or make Know Your Rights cards, election style.
And don't come at me w/ "midterms aren't happening".

I voted in Dallas County today. The texas.gov site wouldn't tell me where to go, so I went to where I voted in the '24 presidential election. They said I was at the wrong place, and gave me the address I needed to go to. That place then informed me I had to go somewhere else.

It has to be understood, and taken seriously, that a person credibly accused and subsequently found guilty of SA on a child or adult exhibits a sadistic character that will, if allowed, wreak unimaginable horror upon society. It is a red flag. And here we are.
It’s a very, very, very dangerous thing for this country and for the entire world to have a cruel, idiotic, sociopathic madman in the White House.
