I wonder how many Germans watched their neighbors, their favorite journalists, actors they enjoyed, their own families start toeing the fascist party line with shock and despair? To not simply crumble and fade away at that point must have taken some real strength.

I spoke to national French-language media all morning about this. I did three separate interviews before 10am.
