had to super oversimplify, but when i get to work, iβll link the code on github.
use a timer on loop to save an objectβs position to an array. clamp the array to like 1000 elements and make sure to overwrite the oldest elements when it gets full. when you rewind set the global position of the object and use pop_back() on the array to remove the most recent element.
building a horror game in #godot around a rewind mechanic. here's a demo of it in action. still needs a lot of work, but pulls the effect off nicely.
