Amazing week developing my play LUMIN @peopleslight - tonight (Thurs) we share the work. Tix are free and all are welcome: peopleslight.org/whats-on/the...
When the show closes there's an emptiness that's both glorious and sad. Like mourning a life well lived. Grateful for NORA @Hedgerow and now full of beautiful emptiness.
Happy opening @hedgerowtheatre and NORA: A doll's House by the brilliant Stef Smith

You are not powerless, and he is not unstoppable. Look at, and learn from, the funding freeze and how quickly he was forced to surrender.
My beautiful amazing friend. I will miss her forever: www.thestage.co.uk/news/tribute...
The DEI caused the plane crash narrative is a distraction. The tariffs are a distraction. Whatever insane nonsense Trump spews that the media will chase like cats chasing a laser light is a distraction. The only story that counts right now is the wholesale hijacking of control of the US government.

Love it when bookshops or libraries arrange their books appropriately...
there's a moment in Branden Jacobs-Jenkins play, The Comeuppance, when a character speaks to not only what they've endured in their personal life, but also what they've endured by living in the world at this time. That line landed in my core. What a world we live in (and what an amazing play).
feel better Libby
I may not be writing much at the moment, but what an absolute joy it has been to work with this gorgeous cast @hedgerowtheatre as a foley artist. Certainly wasn't in the game plan but gratitude abounds.
Happy thanksgiving, especially to all the Britβs like me, living in the us and not entirely sure how to celebrateβ¦
From Neil deGrasse Tyson - look how beautiful Mercury is!
Itβs weird isnβt it!
Also it appears to me that the UK theatre scene is way ahead of the US theatre scene on migrating to Bluesky. Am I wrong? Please let me know. I want to follow your US theatre accounts.
My favorite show of 2024: Counting and Cracking a co-pro between Belvoir Street and The Public. Made me believe in theatre again.
write as if it's the last play you will ever write...
At 4am I woke up with an idea for a new play. Has been a long time coming. Is this the magic of #bluesky? π

Really great reading: exeuntmagazine.substack.com/p/things-you...
Last night I watched Yael Farber's Crucible (Young Vic) on Digital Theatre and today I saw a student production of John Proctor is the villain by the extraordinary Kimberley Belflower at Bryn Mawr College. What a pairing. Such a gift.
Creating a Philly Theatre starter pack here. Please share and comment if you want an add: go.bsky.app/Rk1bBvd
was lingering nervously for a while but just hit deactivate on that other account. Blue skies from here on...
This is wonderfully inspiring, especially as I try to embark on writing a play again after a year break: www.writeaplay.co.uk/writers-on-w...
