Public Perception of Physicians Who Use Artificial Intelligence This survey study evaluates how perceptions of physicians’ competence, trustworthiness, and empathy vary based on physician use or nonuse of artificial intelligence (AI).

Happy to share my latest research, now published in JAMA Network Open: doi.org/10.1001/jama...

We find that physicians who disclose AI use are perceived as significantly less competent, less trustworthy and less empathic compared to a control condition.

In three online #eyetracking studies, we find that processing nominally irrelevant information can promote #creativity, provided that there is some link to the task at hand.

Happy to share my latest preprint on public attitudes toward AI-using physicians. Our findings, based on a US-representative sample (N = 1276), indicate that physicians who claim to use AI are perceived as less competent, less trustworthy, and less empathic.
