The nexus between pedophilia and right wing authoritarianism seems to be based on the idea that there is a ruling class that gets to do what they want with no consequences.
btw the civility panic a few years ago was about precisely this: the ability to have polite conversations about how black people are racially inferior in public without criticism or backlash bsky.app/profile/hann...
You mean the guy who wanted to cryogenically freeze his dong so he could pump out (what he thought were) white ubermensch children after death was a Hitler guy
Every time the Trump regime uses the words "funded protesters" and "outside agitators" news outlets need to cut to this photo from last week.
ICE has invaded these communities. Outside agitators don't show up in their fucking bathrobes.
nice to see Midas Project sharing their research here -- for anyone interested in AI / LLMs supercharging everything weird and often horrible about the internet... a good follow.
New: We built an interactive map of every ICE contractor working with the Trump administration.

Ive been accused of my politics not being valid (despite me singlehandedly using the internet to raise almost a $1M for poor women) because I take vacations or go to nice restaurants.
It is such a farce to believe that a vow of poverty and suffering is necessary to advocate for equitable societies
Homeland security post The peace of a nation no longer besieged by the third world. A photo of an old 70's tan car on the beach with palm trees swaying in the wind as the surf comes in. with the text America After 100 million deportations.
This should not be shrugged aside. They have stopped with the fake 22 million illegal immigrants things and are flat out saying we want to deport 10's of millions of citizens and legal residents from "third world countries" Basically they are advocating removing 1/3 of the population on a gov site.
No idea who Laurent Brindeau is, but isn’t this caricature of @zackpolanski.bsky.social in today’s @dailymailpolitics.bsky.social ragingly antisemitic?
damn. I just searched and the piece I wrote for them years ago about domestic violence and Title IX is gone
There was a female prison nicknamed the rape club. It got closed (eventually) and the Trump administration is trying to reopen it as a migrant detention center
I don't think I need to provide further details.
It's all the same stink
Like Assata taught us, "to become free, you have to be acutely aware of being a slave." Too many white folks are accustomed to being manipulated and dominated, fed scraps from the table. Pathetic, indeed. It's a diabolical system of control. MAGAism (Red or Blue) is the latest system update.
Few white people are up for it. Maybe because they don't understand what's in it for them, what do they have to gain. That's because they don't even know what they've lost: their indigeneity, their worth beyond productivity for capital, connection to ancestors. 5/
That discomfort is real, it's physical. Changes have to happen on a neurological level to rewire the nervous system to feel the tentacles of domination and resist them. It's a kind of death for white people to wake up into antiracism.

White folks have been anesthitized for generations with racial apartheid, 'free' land, all-white juries, you name it. "Capitalism requires inequality. Racism enshrines it." -RW Gilmore
Trump keenly exploited anxiety and grievances over feared loss of generations of white privilege gains. 2/
Privilege is like an anesthetic. It reduces one's ability to feel the discomfort of oppression, to feel empathy, to act in solidarity.
"The purpose of racism is to control the behavior of white people, not Black people. For Blacks, guns and tanks are sufficient." -Prof. Otis Madison 1/
It's uncomfortable to unpack your privilege, but it's more uncomfortable to be oppressed. Most white people can't manage the relatively minor discomfort of coming to terms with whiteness in order to ease the burden on the oppressed. It's pretty pathetic.
"I shot a bunch of people because they have the same religion as a nation state in a different hemisphere doing terrible things" feels like the dictionary definition of bigotry, and in this case it's pretty clear what the bigotry is
Y’all remember when they came up with “Black Identity Extremist” in an attempt to vilify people speaking out against police brutality?
This is another attempt to use language to denigrate a reasonable response to tyranny.
had a fascinating exchange about immigration with an Englishman who seemed rather taken aback that my response to "so you don't think England should be able to maintain its own borders" was "correct", when you spend half a millennium not respecting anyone else's border you don't get to have one
“.. some engineers argued for mechanical handles,” but “Musk’s directive was clear: Virtually everything in the new vehicle — including the doors — should be controlled electrically ..
“.. 15 people have died in crashes where Tesla doors wouldn’t open ..”

Reagan's project was successful: now, many Americans have no idea what a "public good" is.
Their only framework for social interaction--outside friends & family--is set by the concepts of private property & consumer choice.
That explains a lot about voting patterns & the dying sense of civic duty.

Wonderful to have a contribution among these incredible and thoughtful scholars trying to make sense of the Silicon Valley technology elite and corporate forms of power and sovereignty

Something important to note is that the tech companies and the gas companies have promised each other demand and supply, so massively constraining and killing any threat to that is a key function of the Trump admin
