Daily Mail Headline: Pupils' drawings could be blasphemous under Islamic law, Labour councils tell schools - while music and dance classes may go against the teachings of Islam

Oh boy! What a headline...

Ask yourself:

"What am I being asked to believe?"

"Who am I being told to blame?"

Take a few seconds to imagine what the Daily Mail (And Telegraph, GB News and Express) WANT you to think is going on.

Let's see what's ACTUALLY happening...🧡

cis friends i want you to really understand this horror

imagine if in half of US states if you were in an accident/got sick and had to go to the hospital

the medical professionals there would FORCE THE WRONG HORMONE INTO YOUR BODY, making it change in ways antithetical to who you are

IMAGINE IT

This is a cross party statement in solidarity with @greenpartyhan.bsky.social after what happened this weekend.

Thanks to all the LGBT and Feminist organisations within all the respective parties for signing this, and it was amazing working with you all.

Polanski is clearly embarrassed about a dickhead thing he did quite a long time ago. The attempt to make this into ongoing evidence of his unsuitability to be involved in politics *now* is a bit pathetic. This isn’t the Nixon White House tapes for fuck’s sake.

Good.

Long past time the Union movement as a whole ended the illusion that the Labour Party is an extension of their movement and that there are no other equivalent or better party vehicles for workers' rights.

Would merrily advocate for every single university manager to be made to convene a first-year module one term out of four. And let them see how 'light' the workload is.

They do not understand what it takes to work in a university these days, and they are dismissive of us by that ignorance.

Home - Not in our name Not In our Name: Women in support of the trans+community

More than 91,900 women have already signed to say that trans exclusion is not in our name.

We’re now aiming for 100,000 signatures, and it would be incredible to reach that mark by tonight with the help of everyone at the Trans Mission Live concert and everyone following along from home.

Trevor Phillips is on Times Radio at the moment presenting its lunchtime show and talking about the imminent release of the Mandelson files. He’s not mentioned that Peter Mandelson has been his friend for many years and was best man at his first wedding.

To a Kremlin sponsored conference in Moscow, to talk about the role of crypto currencies in politics

I’m essentially really boring. I have a pretty standard 9-5 office job like almost everyone else.

I’m learning the piano, love walks in nature and used to be majorly into photography.

I’ve never hurt anyone, I just wanted a quiet life but I’m trans, so Labour don’t think I should exist anymore.

This is an imp thread by @adamlangleben who gave a lot to expelling antisemitism from @UKLabour.
I was 22 when I went to work for Corbyn - angry about class, privatisation, agency work. I never thought being Jewish was relevant.
Eve since, ppl around Corbyn have been after Jewish friends and colleagues who worked to bring the EHRC case. They want to rewrite the history of what happened.
Here is the truth. The EHRC investigation had to meet a high legal bar to even happen. The Met Police was the only other organisation who met it. That is the depths to which the Labour Party sank.
The oldest hatred is never far from the surface.
Most journalists, politicians, and citizens in this country know that.

Trust me bro, nothing suss happened here - The MP that just had to resign for setting investigators on a bunch of journos who wrote about Labour Together taking big bungs; told the spooks that they were working with the Russians, and quietly told MPs and other hacks those journos were traitors.
