World book week went by in a blur of trains and school visits. This year I tried to keep a note of small things that I enjoyed as the week went on.
Thanks so much to everyone who welcomed me or dressed up as one of my characters - you had me smiling all week.

I wrote this for HarperCollins' #BookSquad blog.
I was a child who didn't read books but loved stories. We should embrace this love of stories found in TV & film that many children have, not fight against it. Then show them that books have even MORE of what they want.
