bill shankly famously said that the league title is any big club's bread and butter and i'll agree with him wholeheartedly until we're two down at west ham on saturday. #quadsoff

quad's off, kids are crying, thanks.
been our best player since he signed, imho.
honestly doesn't feel like arsenal and city are playing by the same set of rules sometimes.
pleased to report that loads of stuff is on fire in the new peaky blinders film for no reason at all.
don't think so. not in the squad list either so might have moved on?
i agree with most logistical criticisms of the modern champions league, and i'd much rather it be on free-to-air telly, but i also think the bt/tnt era has been miles more entertaining than what came before. we get overly nostalgic for the 90s/00s, imho.
i haven't read the article yet, but i've seen a few arsenal fans recently querying what the owners might be taking out. is there anything to this?
have west didsbury and chorlton got a hydroponic lettuce farm in their clubhouse, have they fuck. #massive
maine road 4 nelson 5. what a game. first half-hour in particular maine road were brilliant on the counter, and went two up, but nelson had too much in the end, and this win takes them top. relegation beckons, sadly.
partly because of all the stoke stuff, partly because their manager's a transphobe, partly because they have the loudest online fanbase in the country, partly because they're objectively the...fourth biggest club in britain, partly because it would be really funny.
i'd love to hear nicky's opinion on tijjani reijnders. i always give player a year to settle at city, but i can't work him out at all. he's popped up with a few goals, but been largely poor since his debut and doesn't seem at home as a ten, an eight or deeper. wrong club maybe?
the western press is truly, truly ill.
i'm an absolute mark for this.
ZAPPA vibes from Canaries Keeper.

biopic of the boxer prince naseem hamed. didn't hate it. brosnan somehow really good as brendan ingle. really liked the ending. wasn't sure about the casting of the actor who played the adult hamed, but the lad who played him as a kid was brilliant. fight scenes abysmal, as per. 7/10.
the way to go is definitely pressuring supporters organisations. i wouldn't be surprised if sponsorship contracts for both clubs and players have social media related clauses nowadays. they're not going to walk away under their own steam, but they absolutely should.
have you tried using nitter? one of the things i struggled with for ages was not being able to get real-time updates on interest-related stuff and certain types of news, but there are ways around it.
what have been your favourites of those grounds?

canadian thriller. maika monroe as a drug dealer on the run. not well received, and has some major flaws, but some of the techniques used are really interesting, like the infrared chase, or a tense scene where two characters use an outdoor sensor to communicate via signing. 7/10.
sorry to report that i'm going to have to start logging films i've been watching again. last night were the first i've watched since christmas, and i've not been to the pictures once, after doing 122 films last year. target this year is fifty *new* films...
never heard an autechre record in my life, but even without the knowledge and context of the original versions of these songs this is still a fine record...

truly vile. there can be no excuse for still having an account. the amount of people i know of otherwise good politics who for some reason think they can't make the break is quite frankly fucking insane.
conclusive proof, if any were needed, that tameside is basically yorkshire.
most i've enjoyed a game in a few weeks, probably since we won there in the league cup. nunes more than made up for his rare poor game midweek. savinho's best performance by far since joining. both centre-halves and gonzalez commanding. doku and marmoush finished very strong. let's pump madrid.
absolutely chuffed with that. thought we'd go out, and moreso after the first twenty minutes, but every single player who started was excellent, even those who began slowly really grew into it. savinho, nunes, khusanov, gonzalez especially good. great to see stones play ninety minutes. great stuff.
the same people who bemoan a weakened team would bemoan a big injury or fatigue in more important upcoming games. there's very little wriggle room for changes when you're playing real madrid twice, arsenal twice and chelsea away more or less on the spin. season could be over in a fortnight.
and yet they haven't won a single european cup since he's been there. pathetic.
not looking great for maine road, now seven points adrift at the foot of the table. lost late at home against holker old boys and a couple of rivals won. defent enough performance, wasted some good chances first half, and pushed after the break, but not enough. relegation now feels sadly inevitable.
there's a lot to like on this album if you're of a folky persuasion...
