Early release builds did, as long as you built the joints correctly (I recorded tutorials on how back in the day). But since no one was building the joints correctly they reworked it to work the way people built… so it just started sucking no matter how you built 😅

Nvidia GPU? I found that if the GPU driver updates before the kernel and the new driver is built fir the new kernel is when that happens. Turning off Nvidia updates fixed the issue and just manually update when there’s specific features/bugs affecting you.

Now that I've had a chance to look deeper into it, I think this might be the right game after all. I found its specialized cabinet with the formation buttons instead of the more common generic cabinet, and it looks like they just never triggered the formations in the video you linked.
