I’m so sick of the “asshole” culture surrounding right wing politics. Decency must be the example set by the people running our countries. It’s not being “elitist” it’s simply basic human decency to not needlessly antagonize people to win “cool points” with your base.

I understand why you’re angry, but being so angry is part of the problem. Social media is being used to make us angry or sad, and put us into a state where we can be easily manipulated. We may think they’re stupid, but they think we’re stupid. We need a moderating influence in our leaders.
I’m torn on who I want. Freeland is a bulldog and would be a great PM, but Carney is more moderate and may do a better job of uniting the country. Both would be good. Can we have both?

I had two punch biopsies taken of some moles right next to each other on my chest. I guess they don’t use stitches anymore so now it looks like a sexy vampire has attacked me leaving two small tooth holes a perfect distance apart.
My mother is getting cataract surgery tomorrow! After going through steroids and radiation and chemotherapy her eyes are badly affected. I am hoping everything goes well and that she can SEE again.

I’m trying to pay more attention to my migraine symptoms so that I can better understand the crazy neurological stuff I’ve been dealing with lately. I sometimes find it hard to tell when I’m having a migraine since my pain sometimes stays pretty low-moderate.
I’ve been sleeping so terribly lately that I would almost prefer to skip sleeping at all.
I think the hardest part of attempting to converse with someone who has been so radicalized is just how angry they are. Far right or far left - there’s just so much rage fueling them. It’s exhausting and not the world I want to live in.
I wanted to ask him if he was paid by Russia or China to promote an anti-democratic message or if he truly believes everything he was saying. He was like the polar opposite of a Convoy supporter. So weird.
Today an acquaintance revealed just how radicalized he is by stating he would rather live in China than Canada, communism isn’t that bad,and that Israel did 9/11 and is at the heart of every conflict in the modern world.
I honestly just don’t even know how to respond to him?

Everyone we encountered on the way to and at the store was SO PLEASANT today. Uber drivers, fellow shoppers, market workers.
Makes such a difference when you have these positive interactions, and it’s a reminder of how much the negative interactions stay with you, big or small.
