#FAIR: Curious about the first version prior to peer review or raw data? π We have uploaded a preprint to @chemrxiv.bsky.social (chemrxiv.org/engage/chemr...) and our processable data to #TUWienResearchData (researchdata.tuwien.ac.at/records/qjcp...) π€
Work led by Florian Mayer and supported by Dominik Laa at @chemistry-tuw.bsky.social @tuwien.at
Did you know that trioxanes are acidically degradable? We have used this motif for the first time in polymers to make and break 3D printable photopolymer networks on demand with light.
Check out the early version here, published #openacess thanks to TU Wien Bibliothek:

Great reflection - and only two-bite-sized π
Congrats to Selina for the best presentation award at BYPoS - a well-deserved recognition for all your hard work in the lab during your Diploma thesis on new star-shaped monomers for 3D printing!
@chemistry-tuw.bsky.social
Thank you Materials Horizon Royal Society of Chemistry for the highlight! It's been fun to reflect on how my research interests have evolved and I look forward to reading this like a time capsule every 5-10 years and see which answers change and how! π©βπ¬πββοΈπ©βπ¨

Looking forward to making gummibears with 300+ potential future scientists next week - and this periodic graph will be nice for the highschool age group! Curious about our other food-themed experiments? Check out the program here: www.tuwien.at/tch/mitmachl...
*entire team: Xingyu Wu, Ching Thye Gan, Benjamin Leuschel, Fred Parshley-Johnson, Christopher Barner-Kowollik
I've enjoyed every discussion in and beyond this project with you!
I typically don't use 'finally' talking about research results - it takes as long as it takes - but this study is the joint effort of brillant @Xingyu94010651's and my postdoc time with @BarnerKowollik in AUS. I thank her and the entire team* for the exceptional collaboration!
It's FINALLY out! We introduce MonoLISA, a new 3D printer using monochromatic light between 210 and 2400 nm, and a first photoresin to print degradable and non-degradable materials with two colours of light!

Haha - I take it you know them? π
Time to focus and reflect on teaching methods today - including my favourite Austrian snack!! π
Reading recommendation of @polykonkol.bsky.social and @polymerreaction.bsky.social's latest work: Temperature matters in photopolymerization! Thanks for spreading the word and giving this message a stage π
Here's my first go at bringing together everyone who does polymers + 3D printing!
Polymer chemistry, rheology, characterization, devices, etc. All are welcome!
Let me know if you want to be added to it
