The water has been smoothed over with the use of a long exposure which gives it a milky appearance. closer to the camera the deck boards are visible. The posts of the jetty stand clear of the water and seem to converge in the distance. A sign hang from the first posts and it says that the pier is closed for repair. On the horizon a cloud is little up by the sun casting orange light on the water of the lake towards the camera.

That’s a cracker, and I don’t usually like drone shots.

An image from above low fog over the Firth of Forth, looking towards the Forth Road Bridge, the metal beams protruding out from the thick fog. The sun shone out of a moody cloud which gave a warm glow over this rather striking scene.

I spotted some low fog whilst travelling to visit family at the weekend. So i had to stop and fly the drone. What a moment to capture. The sun creeping through some moody clouds, really added to the scene.

Bamburgh Castle with rough seas in front and dark snow clouds overhead. The castle is lit by the setting sun on the right.

A cold and windy day, so windy I had to literally hold the tripod down, but the conditions were perfect as snow clouds piled into the Northumberland coast bringing both darkness and light. Over a couple of hours the view constantly changed so expect a few shots from this spot over the next few days.

Great photo Grant. I’m kicking myself for not heading up to Northumberland this week.

A van with its headlights on, makes it was slowly up a narrow country lane to the top of the hill. Snow falls on the scene with visible flakes. The photo was taken as I waited for the van to get up the hill. The road was icy under the snow so I'd taken the decision to wait rather than risk crashing into the van.

We’ve all had to do a CoPilot course in the government department I work in.

It’s been AI can do this AI can do that.

I tried it to summarise a case, it did not go well. 🙈

Yeah, I’m still very much learning. I still trip up over the basics to be honest. although I do usually come away with one usable image now.

Maybe I’ll try to be a bit more adventurous in my fourth year.
